28 December 2020: Bills at Patriots

It feels different seeing an offense that I’m surprised when it is stopped rather than when successful. In the past, I looked forward to the Bills going on defense because that is when they had the best chance to make a significant change in the game.

Earlier this year I started getting concerned when the defense came on, because they didn’t seem able to shut anyone down when they needed to. A score wasn’t aways going to happen against them, but they rarely stopped teams quickly, taking time away from our offense and time to win.

This Patriots game was the latest example at how all three phases (fake punt! Ridiculous KO return! Great KO coverage!) are excelling right now – the perfect time.

Oh – and we swept the Pats.
